The Work of a Grammarian in Arabic Language

Abstract

This research deals with the nature of the work of grammarians in the Arabic language, and reveals the scientific method followed by advanced grammarians in their study of the language. It shows that their attention was directed to fixed Arabic speech, in general, and to steady and continuous rulings in particular. It also reveals the role of grammarians in serving meaning, and draws attention to the limits of the work of grammarians that separate them from other scholars of other sciences.
