Abstract

This study aims to investigate the extent of bullying among early childhood children, and ways to treat it. The researcher followed the descriptive survey method through a questionnaire distributed to the study population, namely early childhood teachers in the city of Riyadh. The study reached a number of results, most notably: that the study sample members agreed to a large degree on the degree of occurrence of bullying in its three dimensions (physical bullying, verbal bullying, and social bullying), with an overall arithmetic average of (3.41), and agreed to a large degree on the causes of bullying. Among early childhood children, with a general arithmetic average of (3.81), and complete agreement on ways to treat bullying among early childhood children, with a general arithmetic average of (4.71). The most important recommendations were: reconsidering the kindergarten teacher preparation program to include skills for how to Dealing with a bully in early childhood, the need to motivate teachers with their importance and responsibilities towards treating bullying, and holding educational courses for teachers to discuss their training needs regarding bullying among kindergarten children.
