The Degree of Implementation of Daycare Center Directors for Administrative Excellence Standards in Light of the European Excellence Model from the Perspective of Specialists Working in the Centers

Abstract

The current study aimed to assess the extent to which directors of these centers implement administrative excellence standards, as defined by the European Excellence Model, from the perspective of center specialists. Moreover, the study sought to identify any differences in the average scores of these specialists on a questionnaire measuring the implementation of these standards, based on variables such as gender, years of experience, and area of specialization. A questionnaire with (47) items, was developed encompassing the EFQM’s administrative excellence standards. The study sample comprised (329) specialists from daycare centers across various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A descriptive survey approach was employed for the study. The findings revealed that the implementation of administrative excellence standards by daycare center directors was moderate from the perspective of the specialists. The study also found statistically significant differences at the 0.01 level in the scores of the research sample on the questionnaire, with respect to the gender variable, favoring females, years of experience, favoring those with 5 to 10 years of experience, the specialization variable, favoring special education teachers. Recommendations were presented based on the results of the study.
